Does anyone know if increasing fsx speed to shorten cruise time causes your processer to run hotter decreasing its useful life? Seems like cheating but its the only way to have time for intercontinental flight.

CPU load is higher with time acceleration so average temps rise - but I haven't witnessed temps exceeding about 80 °C, no matter what the ACCEL rate was.

Maxing out sliders without time ACCEL basically has the same effect on CPU temps - so I don't really worry about time ACCEL at all.
