FSX crash with 2.5.6.8

Featured Replies

Hi,

just installed mce new version (haven't uses mce for a long time) and fsinsider.dll crashes my fsx when it starts (fatal error).

I have :

Win7 x64

UAC off

fsx runs as administrator

fsx starts and works fine when I disable fsinsider.dll in fsx.cfg.

I tried debug mode but... This is the result :

Logging started
Module initialisation finished

Could anyone help me please ?

Sure,

I assume FSX main program exe is "fsx.exe" and not renamed to something else.

Also right-click "fsx.exe", select properties then <Compatibility> tab and check the exe isn't set to run as if you are operating under Windows XP or such. Should be operating in native mode.

You may also want to exclude the whole FSX installation folder from the scrutiny of any anti-virus, anti-malware packages.

To disable fsInsider.dll, no need to edit fsx.cfg or dll.xml files.

Simply temporarily rename it to "disabled-fsInsider.dll", and nothing MCE related will load in FSX.

Confirm up and running.

No worries about that.

The error simply means the tool didn't find Microsoft Outlook in order to automatically generate and e-mail to request activation.

You can do that manually.

Locate the "registration.txt" file inside \Multi Crew Experience\ installation folder and send it to register(at)multicrewxp.com

It's fairly quick.

Most of the time within an hour unless you live in a different time zone than Europe in which case it may take a bit longer.
