New gaming PC under 500€

Featured Replies

Hi guys!

I'm looking for a new gaming PC under 500€, to play FSX.

500€ its my maximum budget available...better if I spend less! :-)

This is my configuration:

Case: LC Power 925B with 600W-->56€

Mobo: Asus H87 Plus-->90€

Cpu: Intel i5 4570-->175€

Ram: Kingston DDR3 1600 4GB-->40€

Graphic: Nvidia GT630 2GB-->53€

Hdd: Caviar Blue 1TB 7200-->53€

Dvd: Samsung-->15€

TOTAL: 482€

By your experience, is this a good configuration for fsx? how many fps I can reach?

Can you suggest me other good component less expansive?

Thanks in advance.

Daniele

I'd be concerned about that power supply.  Obviously since you're in Germany you'd know if that company was trustworthy or not.  Generally,  (at least in the USA), cases which include PSU's don't have the high quality PSU's.

Quality brands are Corsair, Seasonic, PC Power+Cooling...  there are a few others.  Since you're on a budget you'd probably be ok as long as you've done some research to see whether or not that company is good.

Finally I'd try to get a GTX660 instead of the 630 - it really is a lower end card.  The GTX660 at most would be around 150 Euros.

can't you cannibalize some parts of your old pc like dvd-rom, hdd, case and psu ?

if not i would change the mb and cpu like:

ASRock Z87 Pro3 80€

Intel i5 4670k 200€

it should stay within your 500€ budget, but the z87 chipset and the 'k' let you overclock in the future much easier.

I upgraded my pc a few weeks ago for also ~500€, but could keep my case, hdd and dvd

I had something like this:

ASRock Z87 Pro3 <80€

Intel i5 4670k <200€

530W thermaltake hamburg <40€

8gb gskill sniper ddr3-1866 <65€

his ati hd 7870 2gb <160€

was less than 540€ and if you could safe on the psu you are at 500€

if not than well the only weak part is your gpu, but nothing you can really do within your budget if you need everything
