October 9, 201312 yr Free patches had raised my frames to some extend but i remembered that the sim was smoother than now with the Fixer. Are there any tips for this? Stratos Moschos
October 10, 201312 yr I'm wondering if we are trolling here.... Of course there will be no changes in the fps between the freeware fixer and the payware version. If you are having problems with fps or smoothness there is something in your configuration (fsx.cfg) that is not working properly for you. The Bufferpool "tweak" is my suspicion. The best solution here is to rename the fsx.cfg, restart fsx and let the config rebuild. Once completed, activate DX10 Preview, shutdown FSX, and restart. This "solution" will eliminate any "tweaks" that might have caused this problem. If the problem is worse, you can go back and rename your old fsx.cfg and you'll have your previous settings again. If you can somehow prove your fps or smoothness is not the same, then I suggest going to the DX10 Fixer Forum here at AVSIM and see if Steve or others in that forum can resolve that issue.
