fps........what, again?

Featured Replies

   Hello

Yes, I am having a fps issue. Being in this for 15 plus years I have ripped my PC, cfg's and everything else too shreds over the years. I have followed NN's tut's, Word Not Allowed's guides to the letter but cannot get the darn thing to overcome the lack of fps issue this time. My sim used to peg at 30fps even over Seattle in DX10 but now it just flutters at that 15 to 20 fps.

My problem is that I can never get my fps to go beyond the 15 to 20 count!

I've gone back and forth between dx9 and dx10.

My PC is no slouch as seen in my Sig'.

I have reduced all sliders to near left, gone to absolute desolate locations, look up at perfectly clears skies but to no avail.

I have rebuilt a new cfg.

I have told FSX to use high priority, ( I never did see any use in this feature but......) I still tried it.

I have tried to think back to any recent changes I made on my PC/FSX but can't come up with anything

For some reason I do not think it has anything to do with FSX but rather how my CPU is delivering the needed power it is capable of.

I have DuckDuckgo'd for over a week but nothing.

Thanks for looking into this!

One thing you can try, if you think it's the CPU, run a windows performance test, if the processor score is lower then it was before, then that's probably the problem.

Thanks

See if your power management scheme is still what it should be. Your CPU may be throttled down.
