October 15, 201312 yr I did not see where fsx crashed. It indicates you had an AppHang. The last module loaded belongs to the security program VistaMare. Might be a problem validating your products using that security. It loaded properly but fsx closed right after that. Look up in the FSX menu and see if all of those programs are properly installed and running. FSX needs Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 w/SP1 installed in order for fsx to be installed properly. You have the latest version and it appears to be installed properly. FSX and addon developers also use Microsoft.net Versions 1.1 thru 4.5 in order to make their application run properly as they intended. It is possible you do not have all of the versions installed. You can look in your Windows/Microsoft.net/Framework/then folders for each version. Normally, the proper versions are installed by the addon developer when you install their product if the proper version is not found on your system but mistakes can happen. You already did a lot of investigating to find the cause for your problem. To take it further, is it the default airports or is it an addon airport? Is AES running? What was installed before the problems started occurring? Maybe uninstalling and reinstalling that product will fix the problem. October 16, 201312 yr Author jim, thanks for taking the time to look over the log. in the end it turns out the problem was simple.. video card on it's last legs. in my testing i tried a few other apps on a whim and discovered that train simulator (which worked fine 2 weeks ago) also crashed instantly on load, and a few other graphically intensive games. i rolled back a few different driver versions to see if that did anything but no dice... at this point i was fairly sure it was a hardware problem so i scrounged up a different video card and well, what do you know, all problems fixed! lol. it kind of mystifies me that it worked at all with daytime fsx. maybe that just wasn't stressing the card enough to trigger its instability. anyway cheers, -andy crosby
