Another Garmin 400 thread

Sorry folks but something is really annoying me.  Been simming for years but for some reason my brain can't work this out. Bought the C90b a few days ago as I am slightly tired of the PMDG stuff for some reason  :O  probably just overkill...

My issue is ....my home airport is EGLC (London City) when I first used the King Air I thought I would do short flight into EGLC to see how it flys.  Thought I would test out the garmin 400 (which seems woeful) and went to PROC to select the ILS approach into EGLC for some flight guidance.  All I see is the sub box within PROC showing ILS rather than ILS28 etc   I can select just the word ILS but there is no idea of which runway you have selected.  IS there something stupidly obvious that I am missing here?  I have since noticed that it is at other airports as well.

Apologies if this has been covered...I did search before honest.

Thanks All

I have used the search before asking....honest!!

The Carenado GNS is not any better than the FSX GNS, and in some cases worse.

The way to get what you want, is to invest in an RXP GNS 430 and set LinkGPS=On in it's ini file.

That way, you get to select the navigation options on the GNS430, and the information is passed

on to the Collins glass gauges.

Many thanks for taking the effort to reply.  Seems an odd work around when you have splashed your hard earned money on a product

Even the stock Garmin 500 in FSX seems to work better!!

Happy Landings

Yup - but that is what it takes...

The good news is that you can use the RXP GNS for other airplanes as well..

And once you have used it, you would not want to go back to the FSX GPS500 ^_^
