October 16, 201312 yr Hello Folks I have a large collection of PA Airbuses ,and all use the the tried and trusted Ken Mitchell panel. My problem is not with panel ,but with the night lighting it comes with , i.e just a fierce white light ,nothing subtle ,and certainly no match for my other aircraft most of which have excellent lighting. Also the taxi lights are very poor ,short in beam and just sort of wrong. My question I am sure there must a way of improving the cockpit lighting/taxi /landing lights for the otherwise excellent PA Airbus and venerable KM panel. I don't no how . I am sure you do. cheers HW

October 18, 201312 yr Hi HW, The night lighting can be easily edited. Open the panel.cfg with notepad and scroll to the bottom. Look for this enrty: Day=255,255,255Night=100,99,72Luminous=220,220,220 The numbers in "Night=100,99,72" are RGB (Red, Green, Blue) values: http://www.rapidtables.com/web/color/RGB_Color.htm Experiment with darker colors by changing values and saving (I use a dark blue on my version). You can test changes without restarting flight simulator by switching to the default cessna, then back to the Airbus. I've found that the problem with the Project Airbus landing and taxi lights is that they are pointing down at the ground. I don't know how to tilt the taxi lights, but the landing lights can be tilted up by doing this: First, turn off "Num Lock" on your keyboard. Now press "Shift+Ctrl+8" and you will see the lights flood a much larger area. Hope that helps, GD
October 19, 201312 yr Author Thanks GD I will try entering the 'night' figures from another aircraft that has decent panel lighting and see what occurs. I did know about altering the landing lights spread, but like yourself could not find a way of doing the same to the taxi lights. Thanks for your help I will commence with various trials. I should at least be able to replace my glaring white panel with something a little more subtle and easier on the eyes. I think that the landing and taxi lights are linked to the 'halo' and something else bit thingies, which I am reluctant to fiddle with as I don't want to alter the lighting on my other aircraft which iam happy with. Cheers GD from HW
