  1. Exactly. I would have gladly paid full price for the new version if that is what they required. Now, by pulling this stunt we both loose. I miss-out on a great product and they not only loose a customer, but manage to make me mad enough to tell anybody who will listen what a horrible experience I've had. (I filed a support ticket that was nothing but robotic replies pointing me to the new policy)
  2. word not allowed it, I started using ASXP12 with my original code as soon as it came out. Apparently more work was required on my part to continue? The way I read it, if I upgraded it by May 19 no further action was required. Now they have killed my code. Pretty shifty work boys.
  3. No. I understood it would light up red when active and the light was not very bright, but I can't get it to engage. It just clicks in and out.
  4. Greetings All, Using the few Youtube videos available and the English translated cockpit textures from the Org, along with Google Translating the Russian forum, I have this thing flying great from cold and dark. I have the autopilot working in heading, VOR and GPS tracking modes, and in vertical speed mode with auto-throttle. The only thing that has me stumped is the Altitude Hold function of the autopilot. Can anybody explain the proper procedure to get it engaged? I get the my vertical speed down to almost nothing while approaching TOC, push the ALT hold button, but it doesn't work. Thank you, Greg
  5. Update it in two clicks after easy set-up. No limits, no waiting! https://ziboupdater.net/
  6. V1.3 is working great in XP11.50b9 so far. What an amazing plane!
  7. Are you using Xplane 10? That plane isn't updated to Xplane 11 AFAIK.
  8. Thanks for the reply. It encouraged me to update to 11.20, because I use the same AA as you. Here's what I found: With my LUA cockpit shadows script disabled, the jagged edges were back (3480 X 2160 on a 43" screen) After enabling my original LUA cockpit shadow script, shadows are back to perfect! Not sure why those other guys had issues, but it's working for me. Thanks again, Greg D.
  9. Any comments on cockpit shadows in 11.20? When 11.20 was first released I read that the LUA script that smoothed-out shadows stopped working. (???) I'm afraid to update for that reason alone. I don't want have the old jagged edge shadows. Any comments are appreciated. Thank you, Greg D.
  10. It wasn't easy for me to pull-the-trigger, but after getting some feedback from an owner, reading some reviews and watching the testimonials from users of the original Brunner yoke and software, I decided to buy one of these. I special-ordered mine with the hat switch on the left-handle which is how I fly now. It's due-in next week and I'll be sure to post my opinion (good or bad) once I have a chance to use it.
  11. It is. After years of flying the LSH Maddog on MSFS, this plane exceeded all of my expectations. If you're an MD80 fan, you will not regret it for a second.
  12. Yes. From the factory in reply to my email: "Hi Gregory, Thank you for your interest in our simulation products. The 90mm are the total travel. See attached factssheet, in the drawing it's visible. If you need more travel check the factssheet of the CLS-E Yoke. Looking forward to your order and kind regards from Switzerland, Mario Mario Ackermann Sales & Marketing Manager"
  13. Greetings Chocorua, I was please to hear your first impressions. I was ready to pull-trigger until I verified that the entire pitch travel is only 3.54" (90mm) end-to-end. Do you find there is enough travel? Thank you, Greg
  14. From Member DHL560 on the Xplane.org forum: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/113785-xp-11-and-xsquawkbox/#comment-1114296 Works for me XP11b9/Windows 10
  15. Hmmn, I tried those but didn't realize the numbers didn't match. I'll give it another try tonight. Thank you guys!
  16. Hey Guys, XP11 newb here. Is it then possible to assign a quick-view to a button on my yoke? As in, I have an "approach" quick view assigned to a key on the number pad, can I map it to a button? I can't seem to get anything but the "Default" view position to work this way. Thank you, Greg
  17. Hi Folks, Maybe someone can help me understand what I'm looking for. You have convinced me to buy a 4K TV rather than a monitor. My situation: Saving-up $ as I go to buy one piece at a time and I did the i6700K/GTX1080 build. System will be used for P3D only. Not as a TV at all. No other games or video/picture editing. My desk can only handle up to a 43" display. My question: I understand for the most part what makes one computer monitor more expensive than another, but what do I gain for my application when buying a $650 43" Sony XBR43X800D vs. a $330 43" Hitachi LU43V809 ? If anyone has a different recommendation I would love to hear it as well. Thank you for the help, Greg
  18. Thank you Gary. I was afraid Nick's bible was not up to date with M.2 and such. You really summed it up perfectly. If one large SSD is the best option I'll do that. I appreciate your input Kylan! I'm over budget already, but choose to buy in stages to get a good result. Vortex and Luke, Thanks for the all the information. I came to the right place to ask for help. You guys are the best. I appreciate your help. Greg
  19. Greetings friends, I took the plunge and I'm leaving FS9 and 2D panel flying behind. I've done hours of reading and video watching to build a 2016 machine within my budget and I need some help with the last part, selecting and setting-up the drive/drives. This machine is exclusively for flight simulation and I want to run P3D V3+ and try X Plane. I read a theory about installing two different drives and where to put the OS and where to put the sims, but I cannot seem to find that discussion again. So far I have: i6700K Skylake Corsair H110i GTX ASUS Z170A Ripjaws V (2x8GB) DDR4 3200 EVGA 220-G2-0850-XR power supply Corsair Airflow 750D case and waiting for: EVGA GTX 1080 Non-reference Can anyone please offer some advice or provide a link on what drive or drives a best suited for this type of build and where to install the OS and sims? Thank you very much, Greg
  20. Don't forget... http://www.frfstudio.net/downloads.html
  21. Thank you both for the info. I'm fairly certain you've nailed it. I checked my CPU usage while flying and 99% is the lowest number I see! With FS9, FSACARS, FSINN, VATSPY and Firefox running this old system is tapping out. My WILCO planes seem to be the only ones that turn back to the previous waypoint, but it seems that's exactly what is happening. This old machine has been fun, and I have put countless hours into scenery and aircraft add-ons but I think I'm ready to upgrade. Now I need to decide if it's worth building an FSX/P3D rig or just a better FS9 version. Thanks again Gents, Greg D.
  22. Alrighty then, This sounds promising! I'm glad I asked before giving up. I'll do some research an see what I find, then report back with the test results. Thank you very much, Greg Hi and thanks for the reply. The only problem with testing that is that I fly in windowed mode (better fps is what I was told). Curious what you are wanting to test though. Thank you, Greg
