I am experiencing a strange issue on a random basis, related to the format of fsx.cfg.

 

This is an excerpt of the file as it is normally (I mean after a fresh regeneration with the addition of some tweaks)..

...that is the various sections are now displayed in alphabetical order and separated by a blank line between each other.

In this case FSX takes a little longer to load, but apparently there is no other adverse performance effect.

 

Does anyone know what causes this and wether this is an indication of a corrupted file ?

Microsoft did this to make it difficult for you to find things every time you open it up to tweak it.  :Just Kidding:

 

Seriously though, it won't make any difference the order.  It will still load everything without problems.  I sometimes edit mine to separate between sections to make it easier to find things.  I've never heard of it placing sections in alphabetical order though.
