October 19, 201312 yr I couldn't wait to try out the new computer so I just hooked up another TV to the computer haha and have begun installing things. I have installed FSX and am installing acceleration right now. My first question is should I tweak the FSX.config first and then install FS global 2010 and ORBX global? Or does it not matter which order I do the installs in?
October 19, 201312 yr Author Ok first issue I have encountered is when I started FSX to just look around in a free flight the screen wasn't actually full screen. It looked like a square screen in the middle but there was plenty of the screen not being used. Is there a setting I need to change or something either in FSX or on the TV that would allow FSX to use the whole screen? EDIT: Figured it out. I didn't change the display in the game haha. EDIT: I can't seem to locate the FSX config file. I figured it would be in the FSX folder but I can't seem to find it there. Any suggestions on where to look for it?
October 19, 201312 yr far as i know it doesn't matter what you do first. if you install Orbx ,make sure you install latest library objects last steve REX SKYFORCE 3D steve howlett

October 19, 201312 yr Author EDIT: Ok I managed to fix everything back to where it was when I first installed it haha. This is way more complicated than I ever thought it would be. Was able to fix the mistake I made about the hidden folders. Still haven't found the FSX config file though. I am using windows 7 ultimate if that makes any difference.
October 19, 201312 yr Author Well I have figured everything out I think. Got FS global installed without issue which was nice!! Now onto ORBX global I guess.
October 19, 201312 yr Author Since my computer has 6 cores could somebody tell me please what the affinity mask should be set at?
October 20, 201312 yr Author Well after installing the PMDG 737 I saw my first frame rate drop. Dropped from 30 to 17 at a busy airport. I haven't done much tweaking to the config except for the highmemfix and the bufferpools. I assume there are quite a few more I can do that might help with that. I have been trying to figure out EZdok and I have figured out how to create the cameras but when I try to switch from the views I created in the ezdok camera editor the game just goes through the default views. How can I make the EZdok camera views that I created be the ones that are used within FSX?
