2013 has been a good year for me and FSX.

I don't know where to begin...

Lets see...

I have always been a DX9 flyer until now.

But with the DX10 Fixer, it seems I'm now a DX10 flyer. I absolutely love DX10 with bloom.

First thing to notice was the black squares in FTX Global gone.

And FTX Global is such a huge improvement that it's a MUST for everyone, like a new simulator.

I also got the 737NGX, steep learning, but so rewarding.

And the last few days, I have been introduced to the Twin Otter, really fun aircraft.

I Of course have REX and weather software...

Now I'm looking at the A2A 172, afraid that I can't go back to my Carenados if I get that one ;-)

FSX starts to shine, thanks to all developers putting so much effort into this older sim.

FSX will never be "complete" for me I guess, but its very good at current state, and that leaves room for the developers.

BUT, I miss something...

A good ATC for offline.

And Ground traffic enhancements.

So much to do...

Thanks for reading, and sorry for language, I'm Danish :-)

Forgot to mention my 10m NextGen mesh :-)

I actually crashed the Twotter because of it!

At a fairly short runway where I use/used to use some grass for takeoffs.

It wasn't so flat anymore LOL :-)

I nearly jumped down the chair and ripped off half my Saitek gear from the table!

Just got the A2A C172, very interesting.
Didn't knew a 172 could be so complex, just by starting it up, my jaw dropped to the floor...

A good year for FSX, but a bad one for our wallets, I believe! :P

Honestly, I really appreciate what all the developers do, it certainly demonstrates that FSX is not at all dead (amazing for a 7-years-old piece of software), and they do a fnatastic job, but I think there were too many good addons, especially aircraft, released in too short time. I bought most of them, and have only logged a few hours in each one of them, simply because it's too much to learn (especially if you got to learn some other stuff for in real life).

Agreed...

So much to buy, so much to learn.

Too little time.

My credit card is glowing right now.

But I feel good about it, lots of quality products, good times for FSX :-)

Personally, I think the best thing about this year is that the FS add-on market is alive and well, not just FSX.

More devs are expanding into P3D, and although I don't use it, I've seen plenty of release announcements for XP as well.

Here's hoping that 2014 will prove as fruitful, especially with the announcement of P3D V2.0.

I have given some thought about P3D, just don't think its worth it yet.

Perhaps with the DX11?
