Couple of basic Questions

Featured Replies

I've been using versions of AS for a long time but took a bit of a hiatus to explore XP10 and have subsequently forget how to tell what textures AS2012 has currently loaded into the sim (FSX). I usually import the route I am flying and let AS2012 install the weather influenced textures based on said route.  What I did in the past is was to try random textures within the sim whether I manually selected them or let their respective program select them for me then when I saw a particular set of textures I liked I'd make a note of them; pretty soon I'd have enough to build my own theme and save it as a snapshot.  This was particularly useful because I also liked using textures from REX and FEX AS2012 etc.. The problem I'm having now is while it's easy to see what texture set is loaded in the latter programs (REX, FEX) I'm not sure how I can tell what particular set of textures AS2012 has loaded when it selected the weather influenced textures based on the route I plan to fly.? How can I tell which texture set is currently selected within AS2012?

Another thing I have noticed is that when I change what I want AS2012 to install it doesn't seem to remain persistent.

An example of this is I usually use FEX Sky texture sets and REX water textures. Opening the graphics section in AS2012 I have unselected those related fields in the install options tab (essentially telling AS2012 that I don't want to use their textures in those areas) However, if I close AS2012 and re-open it those check boxes I elected not to have installed have all been reselected automatically as if it defaults back to selecting all textures each time the program is run.

Probably a simple error on my end but can someone tell me what I am overlooking?

Thanks,

Robert

graphics tap - graphics settings - view graphics logs and select WxInfluencedLog.txt - click on view log

make sure to click  on the "save" button next to the "green install button" - you can chose a name for your theme if you wish
