Hi ya all,Can anyone help me please i don't know what to do anymore. My screen gets blurry seen on shot(1) after a while and I have never had that before.Recently installed Win Xp again but now this keeps happening. Also Fastwrite in BIOS enabled and AGP to x8I have a:p4 2.8Ati radeon 9800pro1024MB RAMAlso why does AGP x8 not work???????anyone any idea.???????regards,L.JimEDITED.. Couple of thoughts to start. Make certain that AGP is enabled in your system bios. It would appear to be disabled in the screenshots. If you can't make it do it then you may have to re-install your system boards drivers. In the DirectX settings for the Radeon, set Anti-aliasing to 4X and Anisotrophic Filter in to 16X if you can.Try those and see what sort of results you get.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg

Well Ed I have changed the Anti-aliasing to 4X and Anisotrophic Filter to 16X but in the BIOS the AGPis set to x8 speed and also fast-write is enabled. Everytime the AGP goes to Off and fast-write to off but why o why in Windows???So what else can I do???????????L.Jim

Well now the AGP is set to 8x in Win xp and bios so that works however, when i fly with a panel then my frame-rates drop a lot and when I use wide-screen (without panel) then i have great frame-rates.How come???????????Regards,L.Jim

It seem that when i use panel-view i get a delay, and then it stutters when panel gone the it's ok

L.Jim,I think you might not be getting too many responses becaue people are wondering if there is any problem at all. You will always get better framerates in the widescreen (no panel) full view, especially if you're using a complicated panel. This is why I still often use the full view.Other than that, you're not being specific enough to give people notice of what your problem is. There are many, many posts doing with the general issues of stuttering and blurry textures. Do a search for some of those old posts. Even if you don't find what you need, the research will help you frame your question better so that others are more likely to respond.

there's a section of this forum somewhere dealing with speeding your computer and graphics.if the slowdown only happens with one panel, not say the default 737 panel then you know its simply the panel, not your computer

Well, the thing is it's rather difficult to explain but I would like to make a small movie to let you see what's wrong but don't know how to.Before I reinstalled XP I had 35fsp in fs2004 with the same settings in fs2004.But now i get a average of 11.5fsp and I have never NEVER had this before. Is this a little clearer hummm.L.Jim

if a screenshot would work just hit prtscreen and then paste it into a photo editor such as paint, using ctrl-v then attach the jpg

Did you install all necessary motherboard drivers after reinstalling XP?Please bring up the start menu, select "run", then type in "dxdiag". Wait for it to settle down, then note the DirectX version. Then click on the display tab. Look in "DirectX Features" and verify that all three acceleration modes are enabled, especially AGP texture acceleration.Let us know what you found.

You mention that you recently installed XP... did you then reinstall your motherboard's chipset drivers, followed by DirectX? After they are cleanly aboard you should reinstall the video drivers.Hope this helps,Greg

Hiya all,Well first off all this is the help I need.-Just took a look at the DxDiag I have version 9.0c-then went to display tab to check the DirectX Features well maybe the problem is right over here because there are only 2 stitched onnr.1 DirectDraw = enablednr.2 Direct3d = enabledbut nr.3 AGP texture acceleration is switched off and also can't be selected (Not available).Well I also installed the motherboard drivers. L.Jim

Hi Jim, nr3 could be an indication, the mainboard drivers aren't installed properly. If you're on an Intel chipset, perhaps try to install the 'Intel Application Accelerator'(IAA) or 'IAA Raid' (IAAR) too. Without more system details it's almost impossible to help. Good luck and kind regards Jaap
