November 3, 201312 yr I would have thought us virtual pilots the only ones to encounter this problem but according to this it is not the case, real life pilots need to check behind their shoulders too and be careful to unlock those latches http://avherald.com/h?article=46ae0ddc&opt=0 Matteo Capocefalo MED1473
November 4, 201312 yr real life pilots need to check behind their shoulders too and be careful to unlock those latches I could understand a computer pilot forgetting to remove the locks because they refuse to read the tutorial or the manual, but a trained crew? Not so much... Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
November 10, 201312 yr It can happen, as there is no automated "start locks removed" call in the real aircraft (31/32) . You have to check for the required torque change yourself, and even if you see it achieved, there's a chance the lock is still on. This is due to the fact that most of these planes are old pieces of **** (pardon the lanuage). I've only seen it happen once in 18 months of flying the type, and it should not have serious consequences in most cases. Don't know why they went off runway in this instance.
