I have searched around the forum but could not find an educated answer. My question is,

 

If you have the PMDG 747-400, is the V2 A free upgrade, Or do you get a discounted price? And also are PMDG converting the 747-8 to work with V2 of the 747.

V2 is going to be a complete redo of the aircraft, definitely not free and unlikely to have any discounts. 747-8 will also be a completey new simulation, no conversions.

No.  This is not an "upgrade," really.  It's a complete redesign, just like the NGX was of the original 737.

No.  Again, this will be a complete redesign, so the new 747-8 will be a completely new product.
