I just spent the last few days at my Computer Guru's Store and we worked on my FSX program/my win8 system/my AMD ATI card and I got my sim running better tha it ever has--actually spectacular results with the help of Froogle and FSX Genius---but when I Started up RC 4 I got this message  'comdlg32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

What to do?

Thanks/Cheers

Dorn

win 8 unlike some previous windows versions does not contain some library modules (dlls, ocxs) used by Visual Basic 6, the language RC4 is coded in. Please see the pinned topic on error 713. Start from the latest and work backwards to get a valid link to obtain the library modules you will need. Some will contain slightly different procedures for running the system registration utility. You will have to log in to Win 8 with an admin account to install these.

http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/C/comdlg32.dll/6.00.2900.2180/download.html is one a web search showed up butdownload the zip file directly and avoid the fix-it utilities.
