adding airlines

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Thought I posted this already but it seems not !

Does anybody know how to add extra airlines to the ade9x software.

I've been playing around with a couple of airports and assigning the correct airlines to gates but some of the airlines are not available in the choices dropdown.

I've had a look at the manual and the website and can't find any info on how to add more airlines.

thanks

There is currently no way to do this within ADE itself.  There is a file called ParkingSpecs.dat located in the version specific folder in ADE.  So if you are working with FSX you need to look in the FSX Folder in ADE.

Make a copy of this file somewhere safe.  Now open it in Notepad.  The format of entries is:

135 Airways,255,60,130,110,GNL

This is Airline Name, A, R, G, B, Airline Code.

ARGB are the color settings for the color displayed in ADE.  A is transparency and by default leave it at 255.

Make sure you do not put a blank line at the end otherwise ADE will probably crash!

Save the file and then run ADE.  You should now have the extra codes.

We do have plans to make this editable from within ADE but they have not made it to a production version yet
