November 11, 201312 yr For a long time now, when I open FSX I get a Windows message: The color scheme has changed. The following program has performed an action that requires Windows to temporarily change the color scheme to Windows Basic, My virtual cockpits in the planes I fly(PMDG & Majestic) the colors are faded. Sometimes I watch youtube videos with the 737ngx or mcdash8 and the cockpit colors look a lot better than mine. I recently reinstalled FSX and switched to DX10 with Steves Fixer.exe but the cockpits still look washed out. I have been having this cockpit faded look long before that. Any suggestions? Paul
November 12, 201312 yr It's nothing to do with colour. If you're running an aero desktop theme, windows has to stop it and revert to the basic before it can run fsx. The visa you're seeing will all have been edited and they're probably using shader mods like enbseries or similar in their site.... Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk

November 12, 201312 yr First thing I do prior to installing FSX now is to change my desktop scheme to windows basic. Dont need all that "fluff" anyway Richard... Amateur Pilot and UK Web Hosting Guru 🙂
November 12, 201312 yr Can't remember how I did it (googled it at the time), but I added AERO ON and AERO OFF options to the menu if I right click on my desktop... very handy...
