Repainters... Help!

Featured Replies

I was searching for a good CRJ-200 for awhile, and I came across the IRIS model. I search around hoping there would be a United express merger(skywest) repaint... but no there is not. So I decided to make my own.

First of all I am a complete noob to repainting, and I don't know how to use photoshop that well. For the past day i have been working on the nose, but every thing comes up fuzzy in FSX. does anyone have any tips or tricks for me so I can make the best repaint that I can?  Or is there any repaint out there?

oops... epic fail on photos. Here they are again

gold pinstripes don't really line up

The fuzzy textures are probably caused by you saving the file with mipmaps.

Try saving it without them.

As for the stripes not lining up, welcome to repainting aircraft. You will spend a fair amount of time tweaking what looks good in Photoshop so that it looks good in FS.

Keep at it, practice makes perfect.

There are tons of tutorials out there for repainting for FS and for Photoshop in general. Google is your friend.

Thanks, I saved without mipmaps. The textures are how I want them. When I am done I am thinking of putting the repaint on the AVSIM library.
