Searching for RTM water and rain shaders...

Featured Replies

DX10Fixer has worked wonders for my FSX and I am so thankful for it.

My issue is that the 'Water Shader' and 'Rain Shader' options are grayed out because i have altered versions of those files. I would like to restore them to the RTM default so that I can utilize the water and rain shader options. I am not sure exactly what files i need or where they should go. Any ideas would be appreciated...

Hi Joe - go over to the Discussions forum: it's pinned as part of the "DX10 How-To Guide".

Look for - and download the ShadersHLSL.zip file.

Just place the zipfile into the fsx root, delete the old ShadersHLSL folder completely, and unzip the new folder. This will give you new Shaders. Once this is done - go to your shaders cache folder and delete the Shaders10 folder, so that it will be rebuilt when you next start the fsx.

C:\Users\{your username here}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FSX\Shaders 10.

Come back here if you have any problems. (No money or women problems, that is...)

All the Best,

pj
