FS 2002 staticy sound with 2d panel

Featured Replies

I hope some one can help me. I reinstalled FS2002 and I am getting bad sound when I am in the 2d panel view. In all other views the sound is great, just bad in the 2d panel wiew. I have checked all the tricks and tips and all other forums, but have not found any help. I am using XP and a creative live sound card. The sound is great outside FS and all other games and programs sound great. Just this one sound issue. Thanks for any help. It is driving me crazy. I have tried about everything I can to help, new sound drivers and ajusting just about everything in the sim and out. ray

Check and see if it happens in all aircraft.. Happen in the B737-400, 747-400, 777-300? or just the Cessna? Do you have FSNavigator installed? If it happens only in the aircraft with old style attitude indicators that use gyros you may have a conflict with FSNavigator. Let me know if this sounds like it maybe your problem. Also by turning off your cessnas engine, and then all power, Master etc the sound problem should go away. Also what kind of motherboard you using?http://www.theavonlady.org/theofpfaq/trouble/crackling.htm

Also, if this is a infrequent sound issue you might try hitting the 'Q' key twice to see if that clears it up. And make sure that you are using 'best' quality on the sound options.good luck
