I'm not using the affinity settings in FSX. These could actually give worse performance because of reasons pointed out in my article. That's why I developed the custom script. Not only does it set the affinity for FSX, it also sets the affinity for all the auxiliary applications. (and sets FSX thread priority to high).

 

 

Ok, But I get amazing results using the last two cores no issues. System runs perfectly smooth with fsx running at high speed.

 

It was only a thought which I felt I should tell about using only the last two cores.

 

I am reformatting my system as I have screwed up fsx and even after reinstalling fsx only, it is still crashing non of my FXAA / /SweetFX or Radeonpro work any more. If I inject them fsx does not start or crashes on loading, have Uiautomation in fsx but still.

 

Hope after a fresh install of everything i get the settings back.
