November 22, 201312 yr Hi all I've created a problem with my hat switch that I can't see how to fix. I have been playing around trying to set keys and axis commands in fsuipc (registered version) I can pan smoothly left, right and down but if I try to go up it does it smoothly but stops about every 20 degrees. I have taken the profile out of fsuipc as far as I can tell and recalibrated the joystick in fsx ,everything works fine except for the one direction on the hat switch which until I started playing around with fsuipc worked fine any ideas on a switch thanks Pete Little
November 22, 201312 yr Are you using the FSX assignment for the Hat Switch or FSUIPC button assignment?
November 22, 201312 yr Author I switched back to the fsx assignment but I think fsuipc might still have an imput as I have a partial fix in that I have the up pan using fsuipc and it pans ok with a millisecond stop after about 20degrees then it carries on panning up. I have also discovered that a button on my joystick is still working on a command I set earlier, I thought I had removed when I deleted the profile but it's still there. is there some sort of reset of fsuipc that returns it to initial install conditions? Pete Little
November 22, 201312 yr is there some sort of reset of fsuipc that returns it to initial install conditions? Not that I'm aware. Well, yes, deleting the FSUIPC.ini and letting it build a new one but that will lose all assignments.Try opening FSUIPC\Buttons + Switches. Observe the "Control sent when button pressed" and see if it has a number pop up when moving your hat switch. If so, you can clear that assignment. If not there is nothing assigned in FSUIPC and could be your switch.
November 22, 201312 yr I have a Thrustmaster Hotas X and I've had no luck assigning the hat switch thru FSUIPC but that may be due to my incompetence w/ FSUIPC. The POV function is the only function I have left assigned thru FSX rather than FSUIPC.
November 22, 201312 yr I dont use any FSX default assignments. All buttons, switches and axis are assigned through FSUIPC. FSX Controller disabled. Very easy to assign hat switch through FSUIPC using PanView. -Another reason why I hold out on P3DV@ until an FSUIPC version is available. I have to assign through FSUIPC with my hardware. Umm. I guess 4.921f is V2 ready. "Looking in registry for Prepar3D v2 install path:"
November 22, 201312 yr Author Thanks all off to work shortly. As this was my first attempt at key assigning I may just delete the ini file and start again until I get the hang of it . Once I have that then I'll try sorting Opus cameras lol rgds Pete Little
