Just setting up the MCP II and noticed the mode options, just wondering how you flip between modes ?

 

Also, on my MCP I have a button  on the radio panel under and to the left the COMM/NAV change rotary dial but LINDA shows it as a flip switch and I can't seem to highlight that button to assign something to it.

Mode changing by default it is number 6, 7 and 8 on the user programmable section of the MCP, can you not see this in the GUI?

 

Best not to assign anything on the radio section, that section shouldn't need changing as it should just work with most aircraft. To be honest I've never tried reassigning any radio section buttons as I have no need to with all my aircraft.

OK thanks.  I see that you can also change the mode by assigning a button on other hardware. I might go with that route instead.

 

 

One other question if you read this reply, how do you get the plastic cover off of the  button to change the sticker to something else ?

There should be a bag included with the panel that has some little black square things with a sticky pad on them. Press it hard onto the clear button cover then quickly pull it off as straight as you possibly can, it should pop off then.
