November 25, 201312 yr 1. Is there a limit to how often you can download the files? (Time limit and/or amount limit) 2. Can you download the files to any computer to use them on another computer? TIA!
November 25, 201312 yr Hi, 1. There doesn't appear to be a limit to how often you can download the files - both time and amount. 2. Yes, you can download the files on any computer and then install on a different computer (obviously you can only install on one computer). You will need your logon details for their website to download. ~ Martin ~ Martin Smith
November 25, 201312 yr 2. Yes, you can download the files on any computer and then install on a different computer (obviously you can only install on one computer). You will need your logon details for their website to download. Curious. Why would this be a problem? November 25, 201312 yr Curious. Why would this be a problem? It would only be a problem if LM included over-zealous, customer un-friendly DRM, which they haven't  ~ Martin Smith
November 25, 201312 yr It would only be a problem if LM included over-zealous, customer un-friendly DRM, which they haven't  I meant installing on more than one computer. What's the problem in doing that? November 25, 201312 yr Commercial Member I meant installing on more than one computer. What's the problem in doing that? The license you pay for says no. Problem with that? Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69
November 25, 201312 yr I meant installing on more than one computer. What's the problem in doing that? Ahh sorry. You can install on more than one computer if you have bought the licences for all computers as I believe the licence only allows you to activate on one computer at a time. In fact you can install on any number of computers but then only activate on as many as you have a licence for as the activation only takes place when you run the program (hopefully that makes sense). Also, if you activate on more computers than you have licenses for LM will most likely revoke your licence obviously. ~ Martin Smith
November 25, 201312 yr The license you pay for says no. Problem with that? Would that be the same license that says you have to be an Elementary, Middle, or Highschool student, or undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree to purchase the academic version? Would anyone who currently has an academic license, but doesn't fit that description care to explain to me how installing to more than one computer is bad? For the record, I know why installing to more than one computer is bad and am not condoning it. I'm trying to resolve a logical conundrum via a bit of Socratic questioning.
