simheaven photoscenery

Hi

with the photoscenery from simheaven I have regions with darker stripes:

Would that be the same if I manually convert with g2xpl? I remember that it was better in xp 8 but couldn't

use that in xp10 anymore. Also Milano Malpensa seems to be wrong?

Thanks

Everyone who uses freely available data for creating photo scenery, without editing this data, will have the same problems. So if Google's or Bing's satellite images have stripes or areas with different colors or cloud shadows, you will have them too.

That's why commercial photo scenery is so expensive ;)

I don't use photo scenery and OSM scenery (except special objects like wind powerplants, towers etc.) anymore since the HD mesh is available. The standard autogen (shown with Europe Library) is much more realistic now in areas where the HD mesh is available.

Since simheaven using g2xpl, you won't see any difference. You could try switching providers to bing, but you'd need to check first if the region you are converting has less striping.

As mariodonick said, it's a problem with both google/bing scenery and you either need to fork out for commercial stuff (some still have stripes), fix it by hand, or just live with it (which I do) :-)
