Can't switch back to DX9

Featured Replies

Hi,

since about 4 weeks I fly with Steve's DX10SceneryFixer. So far so good.

But after updaing ORBX Global Patch 1.1 and updating DX10 up to 1.1 my fps drops down 5-6 on aerosoft airports.

Tried to switch off shaders and more (dx10 controller)- no effect. -_-

Before updating my fps had been at 20-25 in average on a dual-monitor-system via ATI eyefinity. :excl:

Now I tried to switch back to DX9 via controller.

The problem is that I can't see any plane neither in preview nor in loaded airport.

Where is the problem?

Where do I need to replace the original dx9 files?

Many thanks for your support!

Regards

uhecht

Sorry but I have no idea. Dx10sf doesn't touch any dx9 files except for effects which are reverted when you switch to dx9, and wouldn't cause such problems anyway.

You could try uninstalling the libraries of course.

In the preview screen you see everything but the aircraft? Do you see the plane in dx10? Have you used dx10toolbox at all.

Any update on this? I've got the same problem.

Switching back to dx9 all i have is black screen on free flight menu and black screen in the sim itself. The sim is running fine i can hear it just cant see it :P

No the OP never responded.

If the screen is black then your DX9 shaders aren't compiling - did you delete the shaders cache under AppData and have you recently installed any addons that might alter the DX9 shader sources? is ShadersHLSL

DX10SF doesn't touch the compiled DX9 shader cache or any of the DX9 shaders.

Hey Steve

Dont worry about it, I deleted my.cfg let it rebuild and chaged some things in radeon pro and all is well again. Not sure which step solved the problem.

Oh just to let you know i am only going back to dx9 until i change my card to Nvidia its not because i didn't like dx10.

Thank you for your ongoing work
