What does this mean?

Recommended Posts

Hi. My upper EDU center fuel quantity displays 'CONFIG' in yellow. I had turned off the center fuel pumps at 1.00 as required and this happens. Not on every flight, but on some it does this. I looked thru the documentation and didn't find it although a search doesn't always find every single thing.

What does this yellow 'config' mean?

Found this on the internet:

"The CONFIG alert logic has been changed so that the alert is illuminated when center tank quantity is greater than 1600 pounds/726 kilograms, either engine is running and both center tank fuel pump switches are positioned OFF."

Ok. Thanks, I missed the FCOM V2 entry where it does indeed appear.

Does not make sense to me yet why it lights when I have shut off the center fuel pumps at 1.00 as instructed and that it does not happen on all flights. It will become clear eventually.

You sure the livery you were flying wasn't using KGs?  If so, you need to shut the center tanks off at 0.5 (or less than 0.7 in general, really).
