November 30, 201312 yr A follow up to my earlier post. My PC has an Intel Core 2 Duo 3Ghz CPU, 4 Gb RAM, an HP w1907v monitor running at1440 x 900, and a GeForce GT 520 with 1Gb memory.the operating system is windows 7 home Premium 64-bit. I have installed P3D, FSX and FS9. All out -of-the-box with the as-installed default settings.. For comparison I chose the common default Beechcraft Kingair and Heathrow airport. I got the following initial values for free VAS using the VMMAP utility FS9 1.59 Gb (out of 2 Gb) FSX + Acceleration 3.18 Gb (out of 4 Gb) P3D 2.53 Gb (out of 4 Gb) Gerry Howard
December 1, 201312 yr So, in other words, P3Dv2 uses roughly 700mb more VAS than FSX does. Which is not very nice considering the limit is still 4GB.

Even still though, it is indeed very hard to make direct comparisons since all 3 are so very different in how they manage resources. Interesting, though. Regards,Brian Doney
