December 1, 201312 yr What is the tweak (s?) in the fsx.cfg file that will make textures load faster when switching screens? When I switch from cockpit to outside view or visa versa it takes a while for the textures to load and I'd like to speed that up. And what are the tradeoffs? Sorry, I should know this.
December 1, 201312 yr Texture_Bandwidth_Multi=40 (the default setting). I would leave it at this setting or goto 60 or 80 but nothing higher as the higher settings use a lot of resources. December 17, 201312 yr Author Thanks Jim, believe it or not I had it spelled texture_bandwidth_mult in my fsx.cfg file. That is why tinkering with it wasn't providing any results, doh. Your post made me look at it closely and that's when I spotted the mistake.
