December 20, 200421 yr Thanks Lennart I really like your new textures they look great. I value your effort and artistry.
December 20, 200421 yr Firstly... I'd like to thank Lennart for some fantastic textures, truly the best. :)Secondly the textures were availiable over at fsnordic.net... until they were removed for reasons described on the front-page. There are one or two posts in the Screenshots Forum showing them off though, if you want to take a look. :)
December 20, 200421 yr Hey guys, you can count on me to appreciate Lennart's work... I have downloaded the textures early this morning (western Europe) and as I haven`t arrived home yet (what a pity they don't allow me to install FS9 at work... :( ) I haven't tested them in my PC.I'm sure I will use them on now. Just waiting to see them at night in some screenshot, because I've been using the FSW ones till now, and I like them very much. In any case, I'll use Lennart's for daylight and FSW at night, 'cos I'm already using the default ones...So, thanks Lennart for your work and keep up with your effort :-wave. Greetings from the warm south-eastern Spain... now 19
December 20, 200421 yr I havn't tested them yet as my around the world tour has me around the Salomon Islands at this time, where I am sure they would not fit :-).However they were my favourite treat in FS2002 and I was very dissapointed when I heard the there will be no version of them for FS9. Now everything has changed, Lennart is back and judging from the screenshots he has outdone himself. I love his work and I am sure the textures will take flying in Europe to a new level. Guess I will have to interrupt my world tour.To make a long story short:Thx a hundred times Lennart.Alex
December 20, 200421 yr >Thanks Lennart I really like your new textures they look>great. I value your effort and artistry.Sure! Thanks Lennart! Super textures :9 Have over written my FScene textures for europe and north america (good but a little bit to much). I will experiment with blending in some FScene textures. Maybe the result will be as nice as in FS2002 when I mixed the previous version of Lennarts textures and FScene 2002. Maybe.Ulf B
December 20, 200421 yr >Anyone notice and frame rate difference? Hi Bob,Answer: No effect on frame rate. I just compared with an earlier benchmark. Maybe a little bit longer to load the scenery, but I'm not sure if there is any difference (allways to slow in my opinion). Ulf B2GB RAM, GF 6800 128MB.
December 20, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi, ">Anyone notice and frame rate difference? "No frame rate hit, you have to compare the texture size in kb compare to default fs2k4, in this case same as default, 43KB each.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs Kind RegardsChris Willis
December 21, 200421 yr Am I missing something? I flew PADQ to PANC and with the exception for the normal winter green overlays on some of the the hills / moutains, I don't see too much of a difference? Is this part of Alaska covered in the textures?Barry
