December 8, 201312 yr Hi, I install some aircraft update (Airbus Xtended and Twin Otter) and also play with my magnetic files for updating them. After starting FSX I have "FMS error - unable to find magvar.dat ". So, may be I erase a file. But where can I find this file without reinstalling FSX (what the mess and pain...) and where to put this file? Any help please welcome. Thanks Michel

So, if I understand, you mean that no .dll nor .exe or .cfg will be replaced or reinitiallized ? Thanks again Michel

December 8, 201312 yr Author Don't worry Paul, I didn't restore anything yet. May be it is Aerosoft aircraft related with there new update for P3Dv2. I will wait a little then apply futur patch from them. I will take some time to install and portover some addons for my new Prepar3Dv2 software. Michel.

December 9, 201312 yr Author OK, everything is well set now. What I do : Uninstall Airbus X (forget to uninstall the first time), uninstall Airbus Xtended and Uninstall Twin Otter. Clean manually residuals files and the fsx.cfg. Reinstall everything. Problem solve. thanks you for all of your intervention here. Michel
