December 9, 201312 yr Is it possible to set my mouse wheel to zoom in and out? If so how would you go about it? I checked in the mouse setup in P3D but can't find anything on zoom. Thanks in advance to all who reply. Bill
December 9, 201312 yr Hold Space to put you into mouse look mode, so Space + mousewheel to zoom in and out. Aaron
December 9, 201312 yr Hold Space to put you into mouse look mode, so Space + mousewheel to zoom in and out. This does not work for me in P3D. Mouse look works, but not scroll zoom. it works both ways in FSX, but the zoom function does not work in P3D2. Not on my machine, anyway.
December 9, 201312 yr Interesting, because I use this one constantly. Perhaps one of the other "views" have focus? For example if I create a new top down view window, that small view has the focus and I can zoom in and out in it. I have to click the main window for it to gain the focus so I can then zoom in it. Sorry. Not in my case. I am talking about a plain-vanilla, one view active only. No instrument views. No 2D stuff. No ATC. Just the main view in full screen mode. BTW, it it was just another view i would expect mouse look to not work at all. But it does turn the camera around. just no zoom.
December 9, 201312 yr Press SHIFT+O, Then you can move around with the mouse and zoom with the wheel. Press SHIFT+O to come back to normal.. James (jaydor) "Let me X-Plane where I fly in 2020"
