Most accurate vc?

Featured Replies

Hi, which airliner pay or free has the most accurate vc in terms of dimensions, , curves where they should be, etc, fotoreal textures on every part like the real thing. I fly short-hops in the cs727 but it's virtually gone, especially in western europe where I fly. I like to keep it as real as I can get it to be. So, judging by the screens at Ariane the 737ng-vc looks like real to me unlike the pmdg. I don't care much for accurate fmc's and stuff, as long as it looks good (perfect)! Any thoughts or positive opinions on this aircraft? Btw, I've ordered the track-ir, so a real nice vc is a must now...

I haven't checked the screenshots, but I understand the new Dreamfleet 727 is very accurate. It may be especially fun to fly if you're not into FMC's (neither am I).-John

Well I'd stay away from Ariane if I were you. PMDG has one of the best VC's on the market, your can't beat it. Sorry to here you don't like it... Of the two 727's on the market I'd have to say the CS727 has a better rendition of the 727 cockpit dimensions versus the DF727. Dreamfleet by contrast hit everything else on the nail though. Don't get me wrong their VC is nothing short of awesome but CS's 727 just has that certain look that I can't quite put my finger on (it just looks good). Now if that's all that matters to you then you can't go wrong with the CS727, I just happen to like a properly done FDE and support from the company when I purchase a product. Dreamfleet get's high marks on everything else concerning the 727 and customer support.AA-on's on the horizon that are going to offer great VC's are Level D's 767, PMDG's MD-11, 747-400, and Lago's Maddog. Altitude's Concord has a great VC and SimmerSky has a freeware MD-11 that looks great as well.

Can you offer advice on where or what SimmerSky is. I have tried on the web but without any luck in finding them and/or the MD-11. Thanks

md11sms_az.zip but I'm more into shorthops, hence the 737. The cs727 vc comes closest to reality in visuals imo, but they don't fly in w.europe; feels strange flying one today among the ng's and buses. John; see here what I mean; http://www.arianedesign.com/news/news.aspthey seem a delight inside and out, on the money; forget about the goodies...Years ago I bought their first 737 for fs2k and was hooked. Now for some reason (bad support I suspect, no forum etc) just by saying the name...a flame starts everytime

I've seen Ariane's site often, but would not recommend them even if they had a perfect VC. I don't like the way their site communicates and sells to the customer, simple as that. From the number of posts you've made at Avsim, you must already know why their name starts a flame war. Seeming that your mind is made up on their product as being the best, why did you post? To incite another flame war and to slip another Ariane link into the forum? -JohnThought I'd check your past threads--something was bugging me about your reply to my post above:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=search

John, don't get me wrong, I'm aware of this company's arrogant ways, I'm just pointing at the aircraft, lol.

In my desperate search for a flyable AC with a VC here goes...PMDG has the best VC by far. Unfortunately you need a supercomputer just to run the thing.Second best is the new dreamfleet 727. Just awesome looking with almost no performance hit.Third is the ATR from flight1, another well made VC with little framehitsPosky 757 takes the cake for me in the freeware department. I still go back and fly her. Hopefully somebody will paint a UPS OC repaint...I can barely bring myself to spend 40-60 bucks on an airplane, anything that costs over that better be worth it... and none are except the PMDG and all the variations of the 737 (as long as you have that supercomputer though)

The ATR and PMDG 737 Series have the best VCs, IMO.But a very close 2nd (maybe even a 3 way tie) would have to be the DF 727.Performance wise, in my experience, the DF 727 rules the roost.
