I am looking for an app that will recommend an IFR flight plan from one selected airport to another. Preferably one used in the real world. I am willing to pay for it. Apps that work on the Iphone usually will work on my Ipod, though it is not the retina generation.

Quick Plan from FSWidgets works great with Dropbox link. Create plans when away and they are there waiting for you when you get home.

Foreflight in the App store, depending on how old your iPod touch is, it may or may not work on your iPod.  $75/year.

 

I use it real world to check weather before a flight, you type in origin and destination, and then tap "Route" it pulls up any filed flight plans, and usually you can find the one you filed, and puts it up on a map, with weather superimposed on top.
