A New CPU cooler?

Featured Replies

I'm looking to buy a better CPU cooler than the stock intel one, becasue I want to overclock. I just bought a H100i from Corsair but have to return it becasue of some manufacturing issues. I am looking to OC to about 4,2-4,4 Ghz with my Intel I7 4770k CPU and Z87 Sabertooth. Note that I prefer prefilled liquid cooling apposed to custom liquid cooling or a full fan setup. I have room for any size radiator from 120mm-140mm-240mm-280mm.

Thanks,

John

If it's an AIO water cooler you've decided on, then the best is the Corsair H110.

The kraken gets slightly better temps but it cheats to do so, by using high RPM noisy fans.

Air coolers with a large surface area, like the NH-D14 beat the H100i. In fact it's pretty much only the H110 that beats the D14 without cheating.

As you've decided on an AIO, I take it you are okay about the small chance of leaks?

you should stick with your h100i its a great cooler !

H110 or H100i for me.

I've had my old H100 for quite a while. She's a beaut.

4.6GHz @ 85C isn't bad at all for a 3770K.

Unless you are desperate for AIO, and don't care about the small risk of leaks... don't dismiss air. Air still gives AIO a good run for it's money, with a handful of the top super coolers beating AIO and doing so with less noise.
