December 21, 201312 yr Hello gents, I am trying to find the item SEVERE TURBULENCE AND/OR HEAVY RAIN INGESTION in the PMDG manuals. After this was brought to my attention by a BAV-pilot, I have searched my complete manual set, but I cannot find this memory item anywhere. Has it been omitted for a reason or is it just a matter of versions of the manuals? Cheers,
December 21, 201312 yr SEVERE TURBULENCE AND/OR HEAVY RAIN INGESTION You should use IGN OVRD during severe turbulence and/or heavy rain. You can retract the slats in turbulence after VSR. Don't exceed .82 mach/305 knots if severe turbulence is present. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
December 21, 201312 yr Author Thanks mate, my fellow BAV pilot found the below via Google. I wonder why this is not in the PMDG manual set. Could it be because it is company specific? I would think that is weird. SEVERE TURBULENCE AND/OR HEAVY RAIN INGESTION: - SEAT BELTS: ON - TURBULENCE PENETRATION SPEED: 290-305 KIAS or 0.80-0.82M, whichever is lower. - ENG IGN - OVRD ON - AUTOTHROTTLES - OFF - ANTI-ICE SYSTEM - MANUAL - ENG, WING & TAIL ANTI-ICE - ON - Air ECON Sw - OFF Cheers,
