"Rumbling Take-Off Sound" Add-On?

Featured Replies

I just finished watching worldairroutes Cubana dvd. I was impressed with the shaking and rumbling sound in the cockpit as the plane accelerated down the runway. Was wondering whether anyone had done some sounds that simulate these noises. Take-off in FS9 always feels like you're gliding down a rail on air.ricardo

Well I would like to thank Ricardo for bringing up this topic again, even if it has been well covered recently. The reason, I was experimenting with an aircraft package today where I was disatisfied with the takeoff roll sounds. I had failed to consider that there might be "rumbling" sound packages in the library and I had missed the recent posts because I recently had no interest in the subject. Ricardo's post and the responses triggered a eureka moment to go start looking. I'll agree with Mike, "rumbling_sound.zip" is a good one although I decided to keep the same parameters in the original sound.cfg file rather than what was recommended in the .zip file. It worked out well.
