I installed LINDA today (because I can't handle FSUIPC on its own) but now I get a LINDA console onscreen whenever I start P3D v2 AND a LUA message that LINDA has loaded when I start a flight. I test things every now and then with P3D by loading a paused flight and it seems that the LUA message stays onscreen as long as the sim is paused and so I can't make the screenshots I want for my test. Of course I don't test that often but still, I don't like (as in hate ^_^ ) popup messages.

 

There MUST be a way to get rid of this all? I want that console to start minimized and I don't want that LUA message at all. Anyone knows how to get that done?

The FSUIPC window inside FSX when a flight is started should be come up, so that you know tha LINDA is properly working. But I'll ask Artem in wich file you could change soe code to disable it...

Yes, there indeed is an error. It says in red: [E] VRI port 1 "com1" failed to open. The problem is, I don't have an MCP Combo but whatever I do either LINDA itself or that console keeps on moaning about it. When I disable the MCP (which I don't have) I get an error saying it is disabled but when I enable it I get errors about things not working, like the one I posted, which is logical because I don't have it. I am caught in a loop. ^_^ Any ideas on how to completely disable that MCP part and stop the errors from showing up?

Disable the MCP in Linda, then open the FSUIPC4.ini file (with FSX, Linda and FSUIPC closed of course) and remove the section labelled [VRinsight] It will look something like this;

Thanks, Andy, that worked! LINDA shows an error in its interface when I open it, but at least the console doesn't pop up with an error anymore so all is fine right now.
