TSS 727 Pilots Edition Sound Package with DF 727?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I realized the new Boeing 727 HD Pilots Edition sound package at Simmarket. Does anybody use it together with the Dreamfleet B727?

If yes, I'd been interested

- if it's possible to install it easily into the DF 727 without having to change too much of Dreamfleet's plane configuration to keep all functions and non-engine-related sounds?

and

- how good it is compared to the sound originally delivered with the DF 727?

I only remember a discussion about TSS' old B727 sound, concluding that it was more a "Passengers edition" playing the engine sounds too loud for the cockpit of a plane with tail-mounted engines. A "Pilot's Edition" should fix that, shouldn't it?

Thanks for your input in advance,

Harald

P.S. I refrained from posting at the DF 727 support forum intentionally. My post there (related to another problem) is unanswered for weeks now, so finally there's obviously no further "official" support there.

For those who are interested: It works indeed. I got a confirmation of TSS, bought the product and installed it successfully. There's only one marginal glitch (surely easy to fix): Initially you will here the altimeter noise twice.

But, honestly spoken, I found the TSS soundpack sounding well from inside, but very "thin" outside - not the mighty sound I heard at several videos and as I did expect from a big jet with three engines.

I got a significant better result (at least for my taste) by mergin the original DF 727 sound with the freeware JTD8D external sounds originally intended for a 737-200 from the library.

I have not any good luck with TSS sound packages together with payware aircraft. (Wilco airbuses, Feelthere/Wilco 737 and Leonardo MD 80. I also purchased the 727 package for the DF 727, while the internal sounds are ok, the external sounds are a disappointment IMO.
