So guys its finally the time to build a new computer for fsx.. the specs are:

 

i5 4670k ( oc to 4.5ghz)

Cooler master seidon 120M

MSi Z87-GD65

8GB RAM 1600MHZ

1TB 7200RPM HDD

ASUS DVD BURNER

CORSAIR TX 750

NZXT 220

here is where I'm confused GTX 760 OR GTX 770 if it going to make a big difference.. in terms of fps?

 

monitor I'm going to use is a single 24inch 1080p 2ms

 

probably im gonna try as well DX10+fixer

If you buy "cheap" - you will regret it within a month. A 780 will be good for at least three years - maybe four, so divide the cost by 208, and that will give you how much it will cost per week.

 

A 770 is "ok", but if you buy a 760 - you will be back here, saying "I still get xxx (whatever) - could this be my graphics card?".. and of course, someone will say "you should have got a 780, as they're down in price now".

 

Which is correct - especially if you go DX10, as the graphics are all shifted to the GPU in that mode, and I can tell you - it will make a HUGE difference.

 

...but it's your money.  :wink:

Rex4 direct + ftx global + ASN + PMDG + dx 10 = huge Gpu usage especially with sgsaa which You will HAVE to use to get decent AA.

 

My 660ti which held 1st position in 3dmark for long time (after really big OC) gets down on its knees. 99% Gpu usage and 15 FPS with big overcast.

 

Take whatever You can afford.
