January 8, 201412 yr I'm planning on doing a series of flight legs on Sundays from CYLT, Alert, (world's northernmost airport) to SAWH, Malvinas Argentinas International Airport, (southernmost international airport) in GA aircraft, a Cessna 172 for me. The 8000+ nm trip would take about three months covering 600-1000 nm, IFR, per weekend. The trip will be as realistic as possible, weather and ATC of course, but also stops at the right airports when re-fueling. I'd like to begin in April and finish by mid to late June, which would be the end of fall down south. It would be cool to have other simmers join me, both online on VATSIM, and via forums and e-mail for flight planning. For now, I'll name this event, Pole to Pole 2014. James McLees
January 9, 201412 yr Moderator That sounds like fun. At least you won't have to worry about hiring a "handler" to facilitate your customs inspections, fuel, and so forth, nor worry about passport and visas! :LMAO: Fr.
