Wilco American Eagle E170 & Southwest B737-800

Featured Replies

Hello! I am seeing if anyone is willing to do a repaint of an American Eagle Embraer E170 (N403YX) for the Feelthere/Wilco model.

Or could anyone do a paint of an American Airlines B737-800 with a reg. N928NN for the POSKY model?

I would second the American Eagle paint....for FS9. That would be great!

I totally agree! Im pretty sure an FS9 paint will work fine with FSX too

I've been working on a repaint of that aircraft in American's new colors, but their repaint kit is the worst, which makes for very time consuming work because they did not place all the different parts of the aircraft on different layers, and is probably why simmers are slow to jump on what should be an obvious repaint request.  Going back now and selecting each part and creating layers so that you can do a good paint is time consuming to say the least.  They should take a page from the guys over at HTAI.  Their AI aircraft paint kit, especially the GV, is so well done you can have a good looking repaint airborne in an hour or less.   If I ever get my repaint completed I'll post it here, but mind you I'm learning as I go.

Would love to see the Eagle E175 repaint. I, too, had an awful time with the paint kit.

I found time within the past few days to make the American Eagle for the FeelThere/Wilco E175 V2.

The paint has just been uploaded to avsim, and should be on the Wednesday files. If not Wednesday, then definitely Thursday files.

The "e" in American looks cut off, perhaps the edge of an overlapping texture?  I personally would have, also, angled the blue stripes on the vertical stab a little more forward toward the leading edge, tapering to more of the red stripe visible at the top (best example is in the second picture of the OP).

Looks great though.  B)

You have an eye for detail! Funny you say that. I took the picture in flight sim, then noticed the "e" and fixed it. I didn't have time to put it back in flight sim and take another picture, however it should be fixed in the final version. As for the blue stripes, I did have some trouble with these. Angling the blue more forward only made it askew, and the paint overall crooked in comparison to a real world picture. Feel free, however, to post a fix using the final version on avsim.

The entire plane appears "dark" when I load it into the Sim. I'm using FSX. Is there a simple fix like for the Aerosoft Airbus?
