  1. Issue fixed. Aircraft.cfg wasn't in sequential order.
  2. Hi all, Being the American Airlines/ US Airways fan that I am, I decided enough was enough. Currently I use IVAO MTL models with VPilot, and VMR Generator to create the rule sets for VPilot (This isn't very important). When in my sim, I wanted to see the new American A319, A320, and A321 liveries, so I decided to repaint them and add them to my AI fleet. The repaints were done using the correct paintkit, and the repaints are saved in the correct (correct to my knowledge) DXT1 format, as you can see in the picture: and named just as all the other repaints are named. As you can see in the picture: So, at this point I have created the new American Airbus repaints, named the textures correctly and converted the repaints to the correct DXT1 format that every repaint in that aircraft model uses, and put these repaints in a texture.AAL folder. I have also tested the AI Package using the VMRGenerator test tool, which came back showing the repaints had no issues. Now, when I load up flightsim and find an American A320 flying on the Vatsim network, I get the following error: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [00:55:14] SimConnect Error: Failed to create aircraft AAL285 using model "A320AAL". This usually means you have vPilot configured wrong! Specifically, it means that you have downloaded model matching rule sets without having the actual AI models installed in your flight simulator! Read the vPilot model matching documentation for details. vPilot will try to create the aircraft with a different model. [00:55:26] SimConnect Error: Failed to create aircraft AAL285 using model "A320AWE". This usually means you have vPilot configured wrong! Specifically, it means that you have downloaded model matching rule sets without having the actual AI models installed in your flight simulator! Read the vPilot model matching documentation for details. vPilot will try to create the aircraft with a different model. [00:55:38] SimConnect Error: Failed to create aircraft AAL285 using model "A320AWE2". This usually means you have vPilot configured wrong! Specifically, it means that you have downloaded model matching rule sets without having the actual AI models installed in your flight simulator! Read the vPilot model matching documentation for details. vPilot will try to create the aircraft with a different model. [00:55:51] SimConnect Error: Failed to create aircraft AAL285 using model "A320AAL2". This usually means you have vPilot configured wrong! Specifically, it means that you have downloaded model matching rule sets without having the actual AI models installed in your flight simulator! Read the vPilot model matching documentation for details. vPilot will try to create the aircraft with a different model. [00:56:02] SimConnect Error: Failed to create aircraft AAL285 using model "A319AAL". This usually means you have vPilot configured wrong! Specifically, it means that you have downloaded model matching rule sets without having the actual AI models installed in your flight simulator! Read the vPilot model matching documentation for details. vPilot will try to create the aircraft with a different model. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VPilot will then match the aircraft in Vatsim with a wingletted American A319, which is the complete opposite of what I want to happen. I'm totally confused on why this is happening. To my knowledge, everything is named right, the textures are in the correct flightsim format, and the new textures are correctly added to the aircraft.cfg in consequential order. In addition, VPilot spit out the following ModelMatching.log file: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [2015-07-06 20:50:09.870] Error creating object using model "A320AWE". [2015-07-06 20:50:22.318] Error creating object using model "A320AAL". [2015-07-06 20:50:34.571] Error creating object using model "A320AWE2". [2015-07-06 20:50:46.864] Error creating object using model "A320AAL2". [2015-07-06 20:55:14.788] Error creating object using model "A320AAL2". [2015-07-06 20:55:26.203] Error creating object using model "A320AWE". [2015-07-06 20:55:38.452] Error creating object using model "A320AWE2". [2015-07-06 20:55:51.071] Error creating object using model "A320AAL". [2015-07-06 20:56:02.950] Error creating object using model "A319AAL". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As a final note, I created new American liveries for the A319, A320, and A321, and in addition edited the existing US Airways A319, A320, and A321 liveries to make them look better. I made both CFM and IAE liveries for all models in both American, and US Airways liveries. That is why there is "A320AWE2," and "A320AA.". The only problem that I could see wrong is that somehow i saved the repaints in the wrong format, or did something wrong. I know these are FS2004 models, so maybe there is an issue there. I am using the DJC Airbus AI Models. Is there a certain step I missed in making these repaints work? Any ideas to what the issue could be would be greatly appreciated! -thank you.
  3. You have an eye for detail! Funny you say that. I took the picture in flight sim, then noticed the "e" and fixed it. I didn't have time to put it back in flight sim and take another picture, however it should be fixed in the final version. As for the blue stripes, I did have some trouble with these. Angling the blue more forward only made it askew, and the paint overall crooked in comparison to a real world picture. Feel free, however, to post a fix using the final version on avsim.
  4. I found time within the past few days to make the American Eagle for the FeelThere/Wilco E175 V2. The paint has just been uploaded to avsim, and should be on the Wednesday files. If not Wednesday, then definitely Thursday files.
  5. Wish there was a nice Gulfstream 450, V, and 550 for FSX!
  6. The Iris Global Express that just came out is very good! http://www.irissimulations.com.au/hangar/free-flight-simulator-aircraft/fsx-easter-eggs-2013 I would love if PMDG could make a business jet. A nice Gulfstream 550, Citation X, Challenger 300, Global Express would be awesome! http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/photos/9/7/0/1020079.jpg
  7. http://www.arch-spada.com/panels/ Gulfstream V Uses third party gauges and photorealistic bitmaps by Marco Spada FS 2004 only http://www.fsdome.co...dec/hpgulf4p.jpg Anyone have any luck getting this beautiful panel to work in FSX?
  8. Hello, Anyone know where I can download the most recent Northwest Airlines Livery for the Captain Sim 757-200? I am looking for the livery before the merger with Delta. -Thank you
  9. I am desperately looking for a Gulfstream 200 Galaxy to fly on FS2004. I realize Gulfstream doesn't allow flight sim aircraft to be made for their planes, but there has to be one out there. Any input would be amazing! -thank you
  10. Anyone know how to merge this: Gulfstream IV Package on Simviation With this: g550_-_n531qs.zip on avsim The first aircrafts vc with the second aircrafts exterior would be awesome! There is some way how to do it, but I dont know how. -thank you
  11. Don't mean to bring this up again, but someone requested a Hawker 800 be done: http://www.justflight.com/product/800xp-bizjet
  12. Thanks for your response Ryan! I'm glad a good sum of members were able to share their opinions about this topic. My hope in posting this was not to expect PMDG to automatically move towards making corporate airplanes, but raise awareness to the fact that it is a virtually untouched part of flight sim. There was positive feedback: And negative ones: Personally, I am glad this was talked about in a mature PMDG manor, instead of craziness or no responses. Hopefully someday we will see a corporate jet out of a great company like PMDG, but I am only one voice. Looking at networks like Vatsim and IVAO, the corporate level traffic is on the rise. With Carenado reverting to some bigger aircraft like the C90, it seems more people have moved to the freedom to fly anywhere they want, land in class, and taxi into an FBO away from the airlines. Hopefully there is a bright future in flight simulation for this major aspect of aviation.
  13. Agreed 100%. Looking at the Vatsim and IVAO networks, plus Eaglesoft's revenue on their products indicates there is a market for the business jets. Something like a Gulfstream V, or Global Express, or Challenger would sell very well. Everyone has their own favorites to fly. For many, they are corporate jets. For others it is the airlines. And for the rest it is vintage, military, and general aviation.
  14. Members of the PMDG and AVSIM community, We are all aware of the lack of proper business jets for flight sim. Yes, there are a few Cessna Citations out there, some King Airs and maybe a few freeware things...but still the desire for Gulfstreams, Globals, Challengers and Falcons has been left unsatisfied. Of course, the difficulty of making the advanced avionics systems is a challenge, along with the stubbornness of the real world companies who refuse to distribute the rights or request outrageous sums of money for them. But recently, we have witnessed the incredible potential that PMDG can output, with their recent release of the PMDG 737 NGX. I know for sure that if anyone is capable of making these aircraft, it would be PMDG. It is clear that at the moment PMDG has their hands full with the 777, Dash 8 and the updated 747, but I think that it would be a good idea to reintroduce now to get everyone thinking. And although they have been primarily focused on the commercial aspect of aviation, I think that PMDG would do a fantastic job developing something like the Gulfstream G550, for example. I know for sure that I am not the only one. Everyone who is interested in Business/Corporate or Private Aviation, please share your comments and opinions. There must be a missing business jet out there that someone such as PMDG can create. Since the aircraft companies out there can be difficult, maybe they would be convinced otherwise if a developer as prestigious as PMDG requested the rights to do so. -thank you Matthew Miller
