getting 30 fps soild i would have to see a screen shot and then we will talk

First of all I never said his set up, I was referring to the statement of whether you can run FSX with the NGX on a $600 computer. Its very easy to build a computer at that price range that should run default FSX and any add on plane. You can even throw in add on scenery, external programs, the works, and generally get by as long as you correctly tweak your settings and cfgs.

The problem I run into with statements like yours is that you define a universal truth by your own preferences. I know some people who consider online gaming above a ping of 100 unplayable, and others who can easily deal with 500 ping. I know people who are huge graphics and fps whores who call anything below 60 and all high unplayable.

What is playable and what is desirable are two separate things. People don't need to blow huge wads of money on computers to play FSX with add ons. They will often reach a breaking point with some settings but in general tweaking can take you a long way.

With any add on plane and some of the heavier add on scenery along with a weather engine and add on ATC I get at the worst 8 FPS on my POS 6 year old PC that runs DDR2 ram, a dual core, and a was-at-one-time-s**t-hot graphics card. I don't enjoy the 8 FPS but thats restricted to in the heart of the airports taxiing. On more modest scenery I get something healthier like 20-30 FPS. On a freeware airport I can easily break 30. Flying in the clouds I tend to be above 30 as well.

If I could have even $500 to build a modest gaming desktop I could easily push my FPS higher or push my settings quality higher.

OP's biggest issue is that he's on integrated graphics, and if it is a laptop then that can't be fixed. But for what it costs to get a new Xbox you could easily build a desktop that would do FSX with the NGX or anything else justice. It wouldn't be really pretty, and you probably wouldn't want to put it on youtube, but it would be playable.

In case you haven't worked it out yet, the answer is yes and no. Yes it will work, and no it will not be perfect, but since there is no such thing as a 'perfect' FSX,  only only you can say if it is good enough. I would take the traffic sliders down to 10% max just as a matter of course, and water effects to no more then 1.x. FSX is very much CPU dependent so an external graphics card would make a little difference, but not a big one.

If scenery is not realy your thing and you can live without super-detailed airports, then you should be able to run the NGX just fine.
