I am not flying in Alaska - it's cold enough as it is, thank you!

Well, not me - it's still sunny and warm here.   But, I expect it to get pretty cold in the next few days as the front extends itself down to the Caribbean. When that happens, temperatures drop down to the high teens! Hmmm.... Centigrage degrees! For the metrically-challenged, 18º C. = about 65º F. Of course, that is only at night. During the daytime, the temperature will rise to 26º C. = about 80º F.

But, I prefer to stick to Hawai'i until it gets a little warmer up North. And for my flights, I use the Icon.

The more I fly it, the more I like it. What was it the guy, Kirk, said? For those who like to fly the airplane, not operate it. That's exactly how I feel. Easy to fly, set power and trim, then enjoy the view. Land anywhere, land or sea. Doesn't go fast, but what's the rush?

I always keep an eye open when flying over rivers. Never know when a bridge will pop up. B)

Usually, I reset the time and date every time I fly, but this means I always fly at the same time of day, in the early afternoon, Hawai'i and Alaska time.]

Now, I set the date, but don't change the previous time, so that slowly I will end up flying at all hours of the day and night. So, I came back the next day and the Icon was in the dusk shadows.

It's been so long since I flew FS X, but we didn't have all that glare back then, did we? I like these effects, even though it is hard to see! :P

After visiting the canyons of Kauai, I went looking for a place to land>

Here is one of my favorite strips - nothing there, except a tree!
