January 11, 201412 yr Hello all, My FSX starts normal, and I can do a flight that is normal. When I'm dome and want to shut FSX off, Windows well say there has been a problem then restart FSX. I can cancel out of this restart so that it will shut down. Does any one know how to fix this? OP Win 7 64. Thanks in advance, Ed
January 11, 201412 yr Does it happen at the even of every flight you do? Which aircraft did you use when FSX had to restart while you were trying to exit? R. January 11, 201412 yr How do you shutdown FSX? Go to Windowed Mode (Alt-Enter) then click on the X in the upper right corner? Or do you simply hit Ctrl-C? I would recommend going to Windowed Mode first. Best regards, Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! January 11, 201412 yr Author Hello, Yes happens after every flight, it doesn't matter what aircraft I fly. I run FSX in window mode, and I've shut down all the ways mentioned. It is really strange a windows box will come up saying that FSX has had a fatal error and must restart. Ed
January 11, 201412 yr You need to download and run AppCrashView (see AVSIM CTD Guide in Pinned Topic in the forum). Copy and paste the results here of the latest crash. Need to know a little bit more too about your system specs. Best regards, Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! January 12, 201412 yr Attach is word doc. No attachment. How come you cannot simply copy the crash report and then right click in a post here and select paste. Much easier than preparing a document. It shows up in almost every FSX CTD or AppHang. Impossible to diagnose. I would recommend deleting or renaming our Fsx.cfg, restart FSX and let the config rebuild. This is basically the same as uninstalling/reinstalling FSX. That will be the first step and, if that does not resolve the issue, then the next step will be disable loading of your modules when fsx starts up but think the new Fsx.cfg will solve the problem as it lowers settings and gets rid of any tweaks.
