Carenado B1900 AP problems

Featured Replies

Greetings,

I recently installed the Carenado B1900 and have several hours simming it and I am a little frustrated.  Let me start by saying that I have a high end computer built by Jetline systems specifically for FSX.  I have never had any issues with the computer or any other add on aircraft that include many Carenado products which are my favorite.  I really like the Carenado B1900 but it is one of the first aircraft I have installed that had "issues" right out of the box.

I am also a licensed pilot with a instrument rating and enjoy simulating IFR flights and shooting different approaches.  I have my system set up so the realism is about  as close to real life as it is going to get.  Of a couple of issues with the B1900 two are driving me crazy and do not appear on any other aircraft.  Right now the 1900 AP will not accurately track a ILS laterally nor does it capture the glide scope.  In addition, I can shoot a stable (but not precise) approach but as I near the ground the aircraft starts oscillating wildly.  For example, when shooting a ILS approach into KORD that has two parallel runways,  I set up  the ILS to the right runway and start flying the approach.  The ILS instruments show me dead on the approach (laterally)  when in reality, I am flying in the airspace between the two runways.  Then there is the occasional pitch and roll movements when I get closer to the ground.  It is as if I suddenly hit wake turbulence.  The only way to save the approach is to disconnect the AP and hand fly the airplane.  Duplicated the same ILS approaches into KDET and KARR and have the same issues.  In an attempt to trouble shoot, I shoot the same approaches with my favorite, the Carenado Seneca, and the AP does what it is supposed to do right down to the runway.

I know just enough about computers to be dangerous but this would suggest a problem with the B1900 and not my computer.  I sure  would appreciate any thoughts on this issue.  With the "bugs" ironed out the B1900 could be a real winner.

Thanks,
