Cera Bell 412EP

Featured Replies

I posted this in Rotorheads but no replies yet, or even views!

I recently purchased the Cera 412EP looking for a decent 412 sim. I can get the engines started but the rotor RPM sticks around 100, just won't get moving. Fuel pressure is good, temps are good, engines running fine, followed the checklists....

Any ideas?

(I have asked Cera but no reply as yet).

Not sure what controller you're using but whatever it is, try increasing the axis you've assigned to prop pitch.  In the standard FSX controller setup for helicopters, the throttle axis controls the collective, and the prop pitch controls throttle.  Normally in a helo that has a throttle governor, like the 412, you increase power to flight setting (usually 100 percent or a bit over) with the throttle and then leave it there - you make all your further vertical thrust settings using the collective.  Sounds like you might have your throttle down at ground idle.  Hope this helps.  If this isn't the issue, there might be a problem with your controller calibration.  If all else fails, head over to Hovercontrol - odds are that somebody over there can help you get it sorted out.

Thanks for the replies, done all those. Throttle is at 87% and rotor RPM sticks at 10%.
